Wildcards in OLE Linked Object File Name

Hello Everyone,

I have a field set up in a table that is an OLE object with a link to an
external Excel spreadsheet. My question is whether you can use a file path
that contains wildcards. Each Excel file has a filename something like
this:

Company Name Part Number Revision 05-31-05.xls

Is there a way to set a file path up that will search for the first part of
the file name and load the file? The Company Name and Part Number will
always be the same, but the Revision Date will change. We want to be able
to just replace this file with the new file and have the link maintained.
My boss does not want to change the name of the file. Is something like
this possible? I want to be able to associate the Excel sheet with part
numbers so I can print the needed sheets. Also, is there a way to specify a
certain tab in the sheet so when it loads the sheet, it loads that tab? I
can get it to work with a hyperlink but not with OLE objects. Any
information would be appreciated.
