No option for linking ODBC tables

I have the following problem with Access 2003, hopefully someone can
help.

I'm using MS Office Pro. 2003 on a Windows XP Pro. SP2 machine.
When I try to get external data import/link a table I don't have the
option for the file type ODBC instead i see a option Registry error.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks in advance.

First, let me say that I cannot tell from your post the exact error message
you are receiving. The following KB article may be useful, depending on
your exact circumstances.

If this does not address the issue, you may want to post the exact error
message you are receiving.
