AutoNum Problem

Jay
I have a database that uses AutoNum for Customer Number and every once
in a while when entering a new customer the AutoNum goes back and uses
a number already used. So instead of using the next number (say
11,150) it'll go back to 10,125 that already has data associated with
it and it will then count up from there. Has anyone had this problem
and have a solution for it?

I haven't had the problem, but here's a
Microsoft KB article on it, with a method
of resetting it. If primary key is also
used in relationships with other tables,
you may have to remove the relationships
while resetting the autonumber.

Should the link be unusable, the article
number is 884185)
