I believe this is a bug in A2003.

Do this:
Create a new blank database.
Import the Employees table from NWind.
In the database window, right-click the table and copy and paste structure
and data. Lets call this Empx.
Create an autoform from Empx (frmEmpx)
Open frmEmpx in form view.
Open table Employees in design view.

"You can't open the table 'Employees' for modification"

Anyone confirm this?

Peter

Yes I get the same result. This is probably futile but I'm now trying to
find out why!

If you change the view away from 'form view' (eg datasheet view) the hold on
the Employees table is released.

OK, I've come out of idiot mode now ;-) One of the combo boxes uses the
Employees table.

Well done for spotting that Keith. I was just putting together a demo for
somebody when I ran into this.
I think that's a relief.

Thanks

Peter
