how to output an text file with other type of delimeters

hi,
we're trying to output a text file in other format including delimeters
(; instead of , ) and changing text delimeters too any way to do it from
vb ??

You will need to change the delimiter in the output specification, and then
reference the specification in code.

Alternatively, you can create a specification by inserting into the
MSysIMEXSpecs and MSysIMEXColumns tables.

Presumably the text file is generated from a report. In the design of the
report add: &"{delininator} " every place where you want a special
delininator to be placed. Leave a space between the deliminator and the
closing quote.

=[FirstName] & "; " & [Phone] & "; " & "prints semicolons" will print like
this:
Chuck; 123-456-7890; prints semicolons
