Hide the down arrow at right in combo box??

Anyone know how to hide the down arrow that is at the far right of a
combo box?

I have seen it done (with auto display drow-down, of course).

If you do this surely you will not be able to use it as a combo box?
However, you could just cover it over with a label or a shaded rectangle
which you could code to become visible and invisible on certain events.
or maybe use a list box with its height adjusted to the height of a combobox

Cover it with a rectangle. When the control has focus it will move in front
of the rectangle and you will see the drop-arrow.

The question is why you want to hide the down arrow?

If you only want to display the textual value of a key field I would sugest
to change the query or - to add a text and the combobox. Set the combobox to
ivisible and display the curent value of the combobox in the textbox. This
should work.
