Textboxes, RTF2 and Unicode

P: n/a
Hello,

I'm trying to use Stephen Leban's RTF2 ActiveX control in an access
database with unicode data. In VB, I pass the text value directly from
the text box control in a form to the rtf2 control.

rttextbox.plaintext = forms!form1.textbox

When I step through the debugger, the value getting passed for unicode
characters are ?.

In the actual form textbox, the values show up correctly.

Can anyone help me figure out how to pass the data with the correct
unicode values?

Thanks.
Damon

My RTF2 control is not Unicode compatible. You might try using the
StrConvert method on the string you want to pass to my control.

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for answering me so fast. I think I'm being a bit dim. I've
look around, but I can't find any reference to a method called
strConvert. Can you point me in the right directions?

Thanks.

Mispelled by me. StrConv. It's a method of the VBA lib.

Hmm. That doesn't seem to do the trick. Even before the stingis
loaded into your control (as soon as vba sees the data from the text
box) i am getting question marks for the unicode characters.
