Closing for vs Refresh

P: n/a
What is the differance between refreshing a form and closing/reopening
a form. When I refresh data in a form and click on a record in a list
box the information that shows is from the 1st record. If I
close/reopen the form the data then is correct.

Refresh will resample the records already shown in the form's RecordSet but
you will not see new records that were added since the form was first
opened. Requery is the same as closing and reopening. All updates,
deletions, and additions will be seen after a Requery is issued, but the
form will revert to the first record whereas refresh allows you to stay on
the current record.
