Please Please!! One form with Info from Two tables

P: n/a

Please someone help

I have a transaction table "Accreditation" that I need to update from a
from. The form
should be able to display information from different tables.
I have a "Learner" table with Learner information and "Assessor" table with
assessor details.

I need to select an Assessor and need certain information to be populated on
the form( ID number, Type of assessment, Accreditation number), I also need
to do the same for the learner( Learner No, Course taken, ID Number)

After this I need to enter some random information on the same form (date,
venue, marks) and then save it to the transaction table as one record.

The Learner and Assessor has no referense to one another.

How do I create this form

You may try using a subform to hold the data that you do not need to
interact with (i.e. the Learner data) then hold the data from the
Accessor table in the main form that you do want to interact with.
Another approach may be to have a custom sub routine that gets executed
on a given event (button click, etc) that will handle your update.
That way you could build a query that hits both tables and data is
displayed on the form from this query. Then on say a submit button
click you would have a CurrentDB.Execute() statement with your update.
i.e. CurrentDB.Execute("UPDATE Accessor SET FieldName = '" &
Forms!FormName!txtFieldName & "' WHERE ID = " & Forms!FormName!txtID)
Just some thoughts, hope they help!
