How can I replace one word in a field

How can I replace a word in a field in all records?
Let's say that I have the record "address".
and the adress are:
37-08 east linwood st
121 east smith road
22 ave west apple blvd
202 galsaba east avenue
etc.

I want to replace the word "east" in the field address on all records
with the word "e-".

How can it be done?

thanks,

kfarsafta

I believe if you open the table and go to the field you can use Find
and Replace. Once the table is open go to Edit - Find. Then go to the
second tab and use the replace option.

Hope this helps.
