Active X Textfile Layout Control Misbehaving in Access 2003

I am converting a program from Access 97 to Access 2003. I am having
trouble with the ActiveX TextfileLayoutXControl. It worked fine in my
'97 program.

The control is used to facilitate the import of text files. On loading
the form, the control won't resize. It ignores the "control.width = ##"
in the code. It should become almost the same width as the form, but it
won't grow with the rest of the controls.

It also does weird things when it attempts to reload. The
TextFileLayout Control is controlled by a combo box that offers text or
dBase. If dBase is chosen, a different viewer appears on the form. When
text is rechosen, the main form doesn't load all the way. a It looks
like the bottom of the the form (under the "special" control) has
memory problems.

In the design view of the form, when I try to edit the width, the
control gets blinky (very technical term, I know) and unstable and the
changes won't save.

I appreciate any help. Thanks, Erika
