Hi,
Surname is in the first column and member is in the third.
I did start from scratch last night and used the combo box wizard which was
successful, so now just have a problem passing results to a query. I think I
have set up the query OK (correct criteria combo references) but when I hit
my OK button I get a strange error (A prob occurred when MS Access was
communicating with the OLE server or active X control)???
Thanks for your help
Andy

You need to set the .ColumnWidths to display the correct columns. What is
the .RowSource of each combo?

for both ComboBoxes. Have 2 separate comboboxes, all I want is the
separate (single) list of data in both.

your .ColumnCount and .ColumnWidths are correct. .ColumnCount tells you
how many columns are available, and .ColumnWidths determine which ones
are shown ... setting a column's width = 0 will hide it.

Hopefully this is a simple one to answer ....
Designed a form with 2 combo boxes (surname & member). For some strange
reason they both show Surnames although I think im pointing to the
correct data in the control source (=[table]![surname] etc)and the row
source points to the correct table (table).... very confused.
Any help would be great
Andy
