but you can have 2 subreports linked to your report and make one or the
other visible
ok im trying that right now and its not working well.
it is switching to not visible, but for ALL records.
is there any way you can manipulate ANY property of the control( field
)in detail section of the subreport, based on the value of any other
control in that same section in the subreport, or in the main report?
description: i have report which should list all active deals. one of
the fields is VendorName. deal can have multiple vendorNames, so i'm
usig subform to print all of them.
problem is, some of the deals have a Contract assigned to only ONE of
the vendors. in that case, i dont want to print all of the listed
vendors, just that one with the Contract assigned.
so theres another subreport, which pulls out just vendors with
contracts.
what was i doing, i was checking the value of contract flag in
subreport for
vendors with contracts, and if its flagged, i set the other subreport
-all vendors- , to not visible. checking in detail_format event of
subform.
that sets subreport to not visible in ALL of the records, regardless
of contract flag, if any of the deals has a vendor with a contract.
same thing if i set just one field on subreport to not visible.
any workaround?
