Access Question

I am using an .mdb file that someone send me to make some changes.
There are lots of forms, reports and tables inside the file. However I
see lot of data in a form that doesn't come from the table is supposed
to come.Lots of records are not in any of the tables but I can see them
in the form ! How can I find out from where that .mdb file finds all
the data? Any ideas?

Thanks a lot,
Marios Koumides

Marios,

Obviously, the data showing does come from tables somewhere - though
"tables" can comprise linked Excel sheets, Exchange data, ODBC data sources,
text files, etc.

The data showing in the forms might be based on queries which combine the
data from the tables in ways you're not expecting.

The forms may be retrieving data from ODBC connections opened in code, which
wouldn't show up in the tables window. Open the form in design view, and
inspect the Load and Open events.

Look for an autoexec macro that executes code which populates tables.

Also check Tools | Options | Hidden Objects.
Thanks a lot,
