I have a database that I wrote to show how much you will have in
savings based on some given information:
current balance
current wage
cost of living
percent of salary to contribute per month
percent return you are getting on savings
year that you want to get projection on
Using a form, I can calculate this by figuring the totals year by year
increasing the fields accordingly.
Current value
Salary + Cost of living increase = new salary
Contribution based on percent of new salary = new contribution
Balance = value + contribution
Interest = interest on balance
new value = interest + balance
Loop back to the beginning the number of years between current age and
checked age.
However, I somehow need to make this work so that I can click a command
and complete these calculations on, for exampe, 100 individuals at the
same time. My table contains all of the current user info, and a
second table contains the default values (interest rates, cost of
living increase, etc.)
I can get the query to give me salaries, but is there even a way I can
do this WITHOUT running a query? I wish I could explain this better,
as I know I am talking in circles... Any ideas?
