hello all,
I just developed a .adp project that access to SQL Server 7 using
the "application role" functionality of mssqlserver, but
unfortunately I encountered the problem described in
http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;Q308312
so the application role is set only to 2 of the 3 connections
that access works with.
the problem is that access uses the first one connection to
retrieve the rowsource of comboboxes, so I was forced to create
some views and to grant the rights to see it to the public role,
that is not very nice.
I tried to force the application of sp_setapprole system stored
procedure to the first one connection by setting it as rowsource
of one appropriate combobox placed in an "init" form, but it not
works.
I understood that my question is a little bit exotic, but however
I hope that out there there is someone interested on this issue
that will get an idea to resolve my problem.
thank you in advance for your help.
