strange problem

P: n/a
Hi

i have a form with a subform, there is a command button in the subform:
here is the code:

Private Sub CBfrmOtherXSubNextSale_Click()
On Error GoTo Err_CBfrmOtherXSubNextSale_Click

Dim CurrentItemID As String
Set MainSoldX = Forms!FrmOtherX.Form
CurrentItemID = MainSoldX!iItemID

If AV0 < 0 Or AV1 < 0 Or AV2 < 0 Or AV3 < 0 Or AV4 < 0 Or AV5 < 0 Then
MsgBox "You Have Listed More Items Than you Have on Hand, Adjust your
listing!", vbOKOnly
DoCmd.Close

DoCmd.OpenForm "frmMainListing", , , "iItemID = " & CurrentItemID & ""
GoTo Exit_CBfrmOtherXSubNextSale_Click
End If

DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec

Exit_CBfrmOtherXSubNextSale_Click:
Exit Sub

Err_CBfrmOtherXSubNextSale_Click:
MsgBox Err.Description
Resume Exit_CBfrmOtherXSubNextSale_Click

End Sub
as you can see when i click the button the code verigyes if certain
numbers are negative, closes the form to avoid record locking issues
and opens another form based on a criteria. . . .
here is my problem, when the form opens conditional formating does not
work,
this code does not work, i tried to put it in form activate, open,
current, got focus:

Adjust0.Transparent = True
If Ir0av < 0 Then
Adjust0.Transparent = False
End If

any ideas???
