Access 2000 runtime

After installing Access 2000 runtime on a PC, will an Access database, when
opened, automatically use the installed runtime or does the database have to
reference the runtime apllication somehow? If so, how please?

Thanks in advance

The Access 2000 runtime is usually distributed on a CD (by you) after
running the install package wizard. It installs on the target machine just
about all the Access/Jet DLL's - a large package indeed. The runtime
registers itself as the default app for MDB's. Users run your MDB by
creating a shortcut and/or double-clicking the file, just like users with
the full Access version. There are some minor VBA considerations, one of
the more important ones being that you'll need to add lot's of error
handling, as the runtime does none automatically.

Full Access upgrades retail for $99.
