Dividing the number of records from query into a set number

I pretty much want to know how to get the number of records returned from a
query, so I can divide that number into another number and place it as
another field in the query result.

Is this possible?

Without trying, I don't think so from within the same query as this
would cause a cyclic reference and Access doesn't like those. You can
however create a query with all you need except the count then create
another query based on that query with the count added on as an extra
column (DCount(), tCount() or (Select count(*) subquery).
