SQL or code does not run in .mde

Hello:

When I run the following in my mdb in the afterupdate event of a combo box
it works fine. When the file is made into a mde and the combo is updated
nothing happens. Is the SQL not executing? It seems so. The sub
'subMailOrdRpts' runs properly.

If Me.cboStat = "Email" Then
subMailOrdRpts
DoCmd.RunSQL "UPDATE Cporder SET Cporder.QuPrOr = 'Process' WHERE
(((Cporder.[Order Number])= '" & OrdID & "') AND ((Cporder.REFERENCE)= '" &
RefID & "') AND ((Cporder.PLTYPE) = 'FRA'));"
DoCmd.RunSQL "UPDATE Cporder SET Cporder.QuPrOr = 'Order' WHERE
(((Cporder.[Order Number])= '" & OrdID & "') AND ((Cporder.REFERENCE)= '" &
RefID & "') AND ((Cporder.PLTYPE) <> 'FRA'));"
End If

Thanks for any and all responses that may be forthcoming

Anyone know where this 'from' info is coming from? There are no "John'
acounts or user profiles on this computer. Maybe its masking my true return
info but how? Would Win XP PRO SP2 do that?
