Application Search and Replace Tools

For years now, my team has used SpeedFerret to search and replace in
our databases. The heavens have openned, and the gods have finally
decided to upgrade the company from Access 97.

However, they are planning to upgrade to A2K3. The issue: SF doesn't
work with A2K3 yet (http://www.moshannon.com/sfkb0041.html). The
article suggests a dual boot until their new software is done, but it's
taken me this long to get the company to move beyond A97, a dual boot
doesn't seem likely.

What are the best alternatives out there? We've got time since they've
hired an "specialist" to "assist us". Translation: consultant &
minimum 4-6 months before a decision will be made.

I appreciate all constructive responses in advance.

Thanks,
Anthony.

This might help.

Well, you do have the option of installing another version of Access, and
then Speed Ferret will work.

Another option is Rick Fisher's Find And Replace

Is it just a dual install, or do you have to develop in A2K and then
covert the app into A2K3?

I *might* be able to talk them into a dual install just so SF can read
the files, but I don't like the extra work of two environments just to
allow the software.

As for F&R, I remember that back when I was researching SF. I'm
planning on snagging the demo and trying it out. Back then, I like the
SF interface better, so I went with it instead (cost aside).

Are there no other reliable S & R tools out there?

I know I could google them, but I'd like the community's input if at
all possible.
