VBA question

P: n/a
Hi there, i've learn some VBA and VB.net over the past months but now i
have problem.
I have a hard time knowing where/when to use a recordset.

But right now i have some problem with my databse.
Here it is...

I have a form with these fields:

Business info
ID_Delivery guy
Equipment to repair
ID_Equipment to repair
and i have a Save button on the form.
all that is coming from 1 table: Repair

Now i want to be able to add 1 (to add the number 1), in a field
(broken_time) in 2 tables (tbl equipment and tbl Delivery_guy), so i
can see whenever i want how many times this Equipment has been broken
and how many time the delivery guy has broken equipment(every
equipment). I would like that when i enter a resquest for a reparation
and the person press Save it adds 1 to fields in the 2 tables.

i know it can be done in VBA but i'm so not sure about how to do this.
My main problem is that i dont understand when to use the recordset....

So if you can help me about any of those problem i would appréciate a
lot.

thx again

It doesn't seem to me that you need either of your secondary tables.
Go back to your Access manuals, and look up Totals queries; that will show
you how to count the number of entries for each Delivery Guy, or for each
Equipment ID.
