On Open Event Procedure

I'm new at VB code. This was a database created by someone before me.
I'm trying to make some modifications. I want it to search in the
logbookID of a form to pull up information about only that specific
record on the form. Here's the code I currently have.

Private Sub DATA_Click()
On Error GoTo Err_DATA_Click

Dim stDocName As String
Dim stLinkCriteria As String
DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acRecordsMenu, acSaveRecord, ,
acMenuVer70

stDocName = "frm_transactions_correspondence"

stLinkCriteria = "[LogbookID]=" & Me![LogbookID]
DoCmd.OpenForm stDocName, , , stLinkCriteria

Exit_DATA_Click:
Exit Sub

Err_DATA_Click:
MsgBox Err.Description
Resume Exit_DATA_Click

End Sub
