Aligning controls in page header and detail line

P: n/a
I'm sure this is pretty simple but I'm having a hard time with it. I
have a report that has multiple columns and have to change some of the
titles in the page header. As a result, the titles don't match up with
the detail. I've used the all the formatting buttons such as align,
size, etc. but it doesn't seem to work that well. I've also tried
highlighting the page header and detail at the same time and formatting
at the same time - didn't work that well.

What I need is to have the titles directly over the detail,
like in a spreadsheet.
I must be missing something that will make this easier.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Do the textboxes in the detail section and labels in the header appear to be
aligned in design view? If so, this can be caused if the textbox is wider
than the data it holds and the data is justifying to the left or right side
of the textbox. You may need to shrink the textbox if you aren't going to
have enough data to fill it or set it for center alignment so that the data
in the textbox is also centered under the label. One way to tell if this is
the problem is to have the borders show around the labels and the textboxes
(one set of each would probably be sufficient) as a test.
