using lebans rtf2

P: n/a
I have just downloaded lebans rtf2 which initially looks very interesting.

Having a little trouble though in getting the RTF2 toolbar to appear on my
own db although it is on the sample. I have imported the modules correctly
(i think) and am able to create a RTF2 object from form design mode>active x
, but cant find the toolbar.

Secondly, is it possible to import text into an RTF2 memo field from say
word or excel using GET EXTERNAL DATA?

thanks.

When you IMPORT the code/class modules from my sample MDB you have to:
Open the Import Object dialog window
Click onthe OPTIONS Button
CHeck the Menus and ToolBars Check Box.

This will import the RTF2 ToolBar into your MDB

I do not understand your question. There is no RTF2 field type. The RTF
control can be bound to a standard Memo field. The RTF2 control is
capable of displaying RTF marked up text contained in the Memo field.
You can import the Text for your Memo field using any of the standard
Text import functionality of Access.

You can copy and paste via the Clipboard.
or
You can Save your Word document as RTF and then insert that textfile
into the RTF2 control.

P: n/a
....but I can't import directly into the table (in bulk) or bind the control
to an existing (non RTF) memo field and get, say plain text? I tried doing
the latter and just got a blank box.

Is there a way round that?

I have quite a large amount of data to go into the table to which the form
refers (over 600 records), so cut/paste would be a nightmare - unfortunately
I'm not very hot on VBA to do it programatically.

Thanks for your help so far.

SH.
