embedd report as a subform or such...

P: n/a
Thinking I know the answer to this before I ask...
Has anyone ever figured out if there's a way (including 3rd party
solutions such as Active-X) to embed a report (or an HTML formatted
doc) as a subform in a form. What I'm after is being able to achieve
the look of variable length (display height) records.
Thanks,
lq

No, a Form can be embedded as a Subform/Subreport in a Report, but a Report
canNOT be similarly embedded in a Form. An HTML document might be linked via
a Bound Object Frame, and processed by whatever software is registered on
your system to handle .HTM files. Or perhaps just a hyperlink to the HTML
document that could be clicked to open it?

Larry,
Thanks for the response.
One thing I think is lacking in Access is the ability to create a
continuous form that formats like a report - with variable height
fields depending on the amount of text in the field. I will probably
have to do something like your last option, that that means constantly
saving and deleting .html files on the user's system.

I'd like that, too.
