Zoom and fit report to wimdow

P: n/a
MS
I want to "maximise", then fit a report into the available window.

ATM I maximise on the OnOpen event, then use send keys ......

%{v}, %{z}
....to zoom and fit to the window.

Is there a better "non send keys" way to do this?

We're talkin' A97

Cheers!

If you open the report by code, i.e. from a command button on a form:
DoCmd.OpenReport "ReportName", acViewPreview.
DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdFitToWindow

Hi
See the Access Web, "Custom Zoom in Reports" at
http://www.mvps.org/access/reports/rpt0020.htm

"To fit" is zoom coeff = 0.

If you want a specific standard zoom, say 25%, you can open the report
with

DoCmd.OpenReport "xxx", acViewPreview
'you can do your maximize here if you want it
DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdZoom25 ' note you can't run this from inside the
report

but there doesn't seem to be a constant for zoom to fit.

Hi
Yes I see it now. I was lazy and assumed it would be with the others.
This is the negative effect of intellisense rather than reading the
documentation!
Thanks David

Thanks!

I've not seen this in the documentation - and a recent bad experience with
send keys has caused me to smarten up my practices!

Cheers!
