the SUM function and rounding?

I have a field on a form using the sum function
[fedsrsubtotal]

made by this formula
= Sum([fedsr])

format is 0000.00

this 'sum' seems to leave out cents. by that I mean if I have 3 values
in ([fedsr])

1122.55
789.00
12.00

I do not see the .55 in the = Sum([fedsr]) IE 1923.55. What I see
instead is 1924.00

does the 'sum' round by default? I cannot find anything in the help
files for access.
