Access vs Excel Presentation

Tom
Hi:

I have to do a lunch and learn type presentation on the differences
between spreadsheets and databases. Any suggestions as to where I can
find some canned information?

Target audience will be a bunch of engineers and scientists that are
spreadsheet proficient, but generally shy away from databases.

Thanks

Hi
Take a look at
Spreadsheets:
When to use them and when to avoid them.
http://www.sjsoft.com/technicalpaper...readsheets.htm

Its one-sentence conclusion is
Taking account of the strengths and weaknesses of spreadsheets, may we
suggest that you use spreadsheets as:
your own personal Ad Hoc query and calculation tool or as a
prototyping tool for the development of other applications, and
you use Databases (or off the shelf standard packages) for everything
else.
