Open Excel spreadsheet from Access 2000

P: n/a
Dear All

I want to open an excel template from a specific location i.e.
C:\MyDocuments\Sheet1 using a button on a form in access 2000.

Obviously when the spreadsheet opens it will re-name itself, and i need
the users to be able to enter data, that if they want to save it will
have to do a save as.

I have looked at all the previous posts and tried most of them, but
none of them seem to work.

I can put a button on that opnes the application no problem, but can
see how to get the spreadsheet i want to then open.
Can anyone help with this?

many thanks
