Command "DLookup"

I have problem with the command "DLookup" in Access 2000.
The command takes very long time to run.
Have anybody any solution for this.

This is usually faster than DLookup:

But the underlying problem may remain, depending on what that is, what
you're selecting from, any criteria you're using, what is/is not
indexed, how many records, etc. There are so many variables to determine
the speed at which something will run.

First, DLookup is not a command! A stored query based on the same table or
query with the same criteria will run much faster.

When running "tLookup" the code stop on "inum", do I need any special
DLL-file or something other.

It requires a reference to DAO although there's no "inum" that I know
of, perhaps it stoped in your own code because of a compile error?
(cause by lack of DAO reference)

Sorry!

It should be "ENUM" not "INUM"
I have added reference to DAO, but the program still stop at "ENUM".

Aha, Sorry your version of Access is not as advanced :-)

Just change the block:

Public Enum tLookupReset
tLookupDoNothing = 0
tLookupRefreshDb = 1
tLookupSetToNothing = 2
End Enum

to:

Public Const tLookupDoNothing = 0
Public Const tLookupRefreshDb = 1
Public Const tLookupSetToNothing = 2

It will still work but you won't get the intellisense combo to choose
those values when you code it although typing "tlookup" then hitting
Ctrl+space will pop them up.
