Toolbox Grayed Out

Our in-house developer has left the company and I now find myself managing a
custom in-house application that runs on Access 97. I did not create the
application, so I don't know all the "secrets" buried within. The
application consists of a front and back end. If I go into Design View in
any form, etc. the Toolbox is grayed out. I've tried adding the Toolbox to
another toolbar, but it's still grayed out.

I know it's something in the code of this application, because when I open
up Design View in another database created with Access 97, the Toolbox is
not grayed out.

Any ideas of what I should look for in order to get the Toolbox back?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hold down the "Shift" key when opening that database; this will bypass any
start-up code that suppresses/hides features. Look in the "autoexec macro"
if there is one for the command that disables the toolbox and any other
feature you may need for development. If not there, check the code behind
the first form to appear.

Ed, thanks for your suggestions... turns out there was a "secretbutton"
hidden in the startup form, that when double clicked brings back all the
toolbar options that I was missing.

Now that I know what was causing the issue, and how to disable it, I like
the feature and will keep it.

Thanks again for your efforts in keeping this newsgroup a viable resource!
