Quirky behavior in subform

I have a subform for entering grades
inside a main form that describes the
course code and course description.

When I type the first grade and press
Enter, the focus shifts to the next
record (as it is supposed to do,) but
then when I stop for a moment, it
bounces back to the first record.
It only does this once; if I press
"Enter" again, it won't do it a second
time. If I type fast enough, I can type
grades for several records, but as soon
as I stop for a moment, it will bounce
back to the first record.

Four fields are displayed on each row:
student number, last name, first name
and score. All fields but the score
are disabled and locked because this
is not the form for editing students.
This form is only for entering and
editing grades.

Does anybody have an idea why this may
be happening and how I can correct this?

Thanks. Rich Hollenbeck

No, I can't explain, but, as a start, do you have a Requery anywhere. That
would set focus back to the first record. Failing that, carefully examine
any code that might run... code on a timer, perhaps, from your description,
might be a suspect.

Thanks, Larry, for your answer. No, I don't have requeries, timers, or
code. It's a very simple subform, though only one field is enabled and
unlocked I wonder if that could be part of the problem. I've reposted this
question in other words since this original question is old. I still
haven't solved the problem. The new post is entitled, "Strange behavior in
a continuous forms subfom." I'm going to build a new subform in place of
the existing one and find out what I do that is causing this problem. It
doesn't do this when I first build the form--only after I tweak it a little.
I'm currently on my second attempt. Maybe third time lucky!
