Preface: I have looked at both "fax2k.mdb" courtesy of Michael Blake and
John McKee et al.
and "faxing.mdb" courtesy of Helen Feddema and thank them all for their good
will and advice.
Fax2k.mdb uses the SDK object(s) and works (I have WinFax Pro 10.0
installed) but in its
"fSendfax" function does not show the use of the "methods?" for converting a
Word .doc
file into winfax format and then attaching it and sending it off.
I have looked at all of the WinFax SDK docs and can see that the methods
exist but that documentation
is almost unintelligible to me.
Faxing.mdb uses much older (I think?) DDE Poke techniques which also work,
but the example
unfortunately, again, does not cover the conversion, attachment and sending
of a Word file.
I have tried capturing and then converting to VBA, Word macros which
successfully fax off a doc
but this shows only the Microsoft bits and none of the WinFax stuff.
I am so close but still so far!
Can an expert help?
Either, (preferably both) way.
Restating Need.
"within VBA running in Access2000, I want to fax off a Word document to a
particular recipient
at a particular number with/without cover page, subject......"
TIA
Michael Lewis
