P: n/a
I have MS Office 2000 and upgraded Access Only to 2003. The problem
is I want to use my Access queries for a mail/merge, but I get the
error message:
"Word could not re-establish DDE connection to Microsoft Access to
complete the current task"
I can do mail/merge from Excel with no problems. I can use ODBC to
mail/merge, but then I have to use a SQL query to get what I want and
I'm not too sure exactly what to do so sometimes I get what I want,
most times I don't. I have used the same table/queries on another
system running Windows 2000 and Office 2000. The mail/merge option
works as it's suppose to. What is wrong with my setup? I thought
that it was perhaps the Word 2000/Access 2003 thing, but it works in
that environment at my job. I need it to work here at home.
Any help out there. PS: I've tried the things that Microsoft's
knowledge database suggested to no avail.
