Access totally failing

P: n/a
I cant open anything in access 2003 or 2002. It keeps shutting down and restarting. I reinstalled it twice with no luck. I even reinstalled the entire office program. When I open office then use the menu to open a data base. I get the error message "Unknown". Then access shuts down the restarts. This problem only happens on my system thoughn not other computers.

First try (re)installing any Windows, Office, and Jet service packs.
If that fails, rebuild your computer. It will take more time to figure
out what's the problem.

In the past video drivers have often caused crashes. I would try
updating your video drivers first. Some video cards are pretty buggy.

Google for video problems and see whether your card matches. Also, if
your system uses shared video memory that might contribute to video
problems.

Just a thought.

Hi,

As I am having the same problem: did you find a solution other than
re-installing the PC?

Thanks, regards and a Happy New Year
