Trying again...

Hi-

I posted a message on this subject yesterday, but it seemed to get lost in the
ozones. Here I go again...

I'm trying to help a friend figure out how to use the Reading Order property.
It is used for reversing the order of letters in languages that are read
right-to-left. It has three settings:

0=Context: based on the language identified for the application. (This is the
default setting.)
1=Left-to-Right
2=Right-to-left

I have been unable to trigger this property. I've tried toggling it in the
property window and I've tried using the On Current event of the form itself to
set this property to 2. No difference in display at all. Here's the snippet I
wrote in the form's On Current event to try it:

If Me!fname = "Betty" Then
Me!txtlname.ReadingOrder = 2
Me!txtlname.Vertical = True
Else
Me!txtlname.ReadingOrder = 0
Me!txtlname.Vertical = False
End If

When running this, all of Betty's entries did switch to vertical orientation,
so I know my references and "if logic" are both okay. But the Reading order
did not change.

Anyone have experience adn advice for this property?
