Konvertierungsproblem 97->2000

In 97 benutzen ich das form.recordsetclone-Objekt im
form_beforeupdate-Ereignis um eine Oracle-DB zu pflegen. Grund: Mehr
Kontrolle über die kryptischen ODBC-Fehlermeldungen, da diese im
form_error-Ereignis nicht zu bekommen sind. In 97 klappt alles prima.
In 2000 erhalte ich folgenden Fehler.

"Diese Aktion wurde durch ein zugeordnetes Objekt abgebrochen."

Codeschema:

sub form_beforeupdate(cancel ....

me.recordsetclone.addnew

und schon rummst es.

Hilfe ! Kann ich diese Verfahren retten. Wenn nicht, wie komme ich im
form_error-Ereignis an dden ODBc-FehlerText ?
