Is an upgrade possible?

I have a Microsoft Office Professional & Bookshelf for Windows 95
CD. (version 7.0) This version of Office Pro includes version 7.0 of
Access95.
Pre installed on my new computer is, Microsoft Office Basic Edition
2003 (s55-00033) MS Office Basic 2003 does not include MS Access.
Can I install Access 95 from my Office Pro95 CD to my new computer
and then upgrade to Access 2003? Thanks

Daven's already given you the answer.

But usually for these upgrades all you need to do is to insert the qualifying
software CD in the drive when it prompts you at the beginning of the newer software
install. Usually the older software doesn't have to be installed first.

Personally, I would avoid at all costs installing any 95 Office product on a
late model PC. I would instead just go and buy the latest Access package,
which I believe is in the ballpark of $200 to $300 retail. I may be wrong
on certain editions, but I do not believe you can upgrade to 2003 from 95.

However, I do believe you can upgrade your Office Basic 2003 to OFFICE PRO
2003 which includes Access 2003, for nearly the same price as the retail
Access package. Again I may be mistaken. But the advice is the same on
this wise: avoid installing Access 95.
