I've found Excel's chart wizard easier to work with than Access's, too.
(and I'm generally stronger in Access than Excel.)
But I'd guess that by the time you've learned how to do custom exports to
Excel like that, you'll have spent the time it would have taken to master
Access's charting object. Deep down, I understand the objects are the same;
it's just the Excel wizard is a bit more user-friendly.

Hi-
I was wondering if it is possible to code a macro to:
1. retrieve a bunch or records
2. output them to an excel file
3. have excel start up
4. process the data received from access
5. generate a bar chart, pie chart, etc...
Is it me or is access' ability to create bar charts weaker than
excel's ability.
Is this a colossal waste of time even thinking about this? Should I
just stick with access' charting abilities?
Thanks,
Megan
