Data Transposition?

P: n/a
How do I convert (dare I say
transpose) the data so that a data set which looks like
this:

A B C
1 2 3

Looks like this:
Var Value
A 1
B 2
C 3
Thanks....

Hi

see http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=202176 and refs there for other
versions of Access.

Masochists can also do this using Excel.

How about automating Excel to do it for you?
1.) write a macro in Excel to do the transposition and make it a
global macro
2.) Open the series (?) of workbooks and run the function, and insert
into a new workbook in front of all the others (so it has a standard
location)
3.) Import that first SS into Access using TransferSpreadsheet.
3.)

I copied the code into Access, but when I attempt to use it, I receive
the following error...

Dim db As DAO.Database>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Compile error - user defined type not defined.
How do I fix this?

Ok, I fixed the error related to references, now, how can I get the
function to create a new table each time? It only works once and if the
table exists, an error condition exists.
