Offshore outsourcing of access databases?

P: n/a
I've been asked to look around, offshore, for somebody to do some access
work, and I'm supposed to do the QC. I guess I'm fine with the concept, but
has anybody done this and how did it go? Can you recommend any resources?
What is the deal with "international" versions of msoffice -- are they
pretty compatible with the US version?

Sorry if this is OT. You can send me an email about this if you like, just
de-spam my address.

Thanks,

Daven

We sent some work to Texas once, but all the UI's came back written in
Spanish and the version was Access 97. You get what you pay for I guess.

Hi Tony,

I was thinking middle/far East, but I suppose we could talk. Why don't you
drop me an email, please, I'm not free to talk about this stuff online. (And
its probably not appropriate to discuss business here, anyway.)

Thanks,

We outsourced some to Montana once, and all we got back was unintelligible
trollspew. Eeewww.

Interestingly, I was reading an IT magazine recently which said that most
current US "offshoring" is going to the UK and Canada.

I guess, though, my question would be... if you can't discuss it here, how
can you discuss it with someone to whom you connected here, about whom you
know nothing except the signature and e-mail they typed?
