Un-accent characters

I need to export data to an app that does not accept accented characters
like é etc. Is there a function in access to un-accent such characters?

You can use the replace() to replace every instance of a string with a
replacement. You may want to consider replacing the U umlaut with "ue"
which is more likely to be correct than just "u".
