Word 2003 has a Information Rights Management feature that works with
the Windows Rights Management client. I haven't used it, but it sounds
promising.
One alternative is to publish the reports on your website, and control
access using a login dialog.

I am able to create a script that will send a report as email attached
rtf file. However, is there a way to make this attached file password
protected? i.e. the recipient needs a password to open up the
attached rtf?
