How can I create a query that would find an employees first and last
name that begins with the same letter?

Hi Ravman,

A query like this will do it using the Left() function.

SELECT tblEmployees.LastName, tblEmployees.FirstName FROM tblEmployees
WHERE ((Left([LastName],1)=Left([FirstName],1)));
