Hi

How can I;

1. Check the existence of an exe app in a particular path such as
c:\myfolder\myapp.exe, and

2. Execute the app?

Thanks

Are you running the DOS version of Access? <g>

Windows is (sort of) multitasking so the shelled application will run
concurrently with your Access application. You'd have to make an effort
(with API calls) to make Access shell and wait for the application.

If you're concerned about the amount of CPU the shelled application will
hog and this slows down your Access app then you can shell out to
cmd.exe and use the start command to start the process in a lower
priority, e.g.

Shell "cmd.exe /c start /low myprogram.exe"

Use "start /?" to see all options, the default would be "/normal".
