SELECT Field1, Field2,... FROM SomeTable
WHERE SomeField = Forms!NameOfForm!NameOfControl

In the query design grid this would involve entering the Forms!... expression on
the criteria row underneath the appropriate field.

Even easier.

Lets say the form name is InvoiceForm and the field you want to reference is
InvoiceDate

In the query(add the InvoiceDate as a field)
On the criteria line type:
[forms]![InvoiceForm]![InvoiceDate]

Now, whenever the form is open and you run the query, it will always display
records that match the current records InvoiceDate field
