retain a value on a form

Hi

we have a form that accepts inputs from the user
at the end of the day the data that has been input
is stored on a table,(all textboxes are bound to the table)
THe next day a clear form is created.(all values are set to zero)

What i need to do is retain the value of a textbox(a total)on the
clear input form(total from previous day)

Can anyone please help me

The best solution might be to have the form actually show a live count of
some data. For example, if you have a table stores contact records, you
might have a field to say when the record was entered (automatically entered
with today's date from the form).

tblContacts: ConID, ConFirstName, ConLastName, ConDateEntered, etc

The form could then have a textbox to show yersterday's totals:

=DCOUNT("*","tblContacts","Day(ConDateEntered=Date ()-1")
Other solutions might be to store this value in a table or as a property of
the form. However, this does not seem as good as it would just remember the
last number the form had on it rather than providing an accurate count of
something concrete. This is the sort of approach I might use to have the
form remember an individual user's preference, for example, a default label
size or file location.

Sounds like what you want is an unbound field with DSUM and a date
parameter whre you can plug in a selected date, like Date()-1 and get
the stuff for yesterday.
