form / subform communication problem

P: n/a
I cannot get my parent form to reflect the changes in the child
subform. To illustrate, use the Northwind database and type the
following code in the OnCurrent event of the Orders form.

If [Orders Subform].[Form]![OrderSubtotal] > 500 Then
Me![Freightlabel].Visible = False
Else
Me![Freightlabel].Visible = True
End If

The Freight label is the second from the bottom control on right side
of the Orders form. It SHOULD be visible ONLY if the OrderSubtotal is
<= 500. When you "run" the form the label is ALWAYS visible. If you
"step" through the code it changes visibility as expected.

Can anyone explain why it ONLY works in the step mode?
Thanks
