A problem with putting graphs/charts in a report

I'm working on a report. Within this report a chart (line chart) is
build which shows how many suggestions have been made per
servicegroupe. Now I have put such a chart into the report, but the
layout just isn't what I want it to be. In the X and Y axes you can
see some numbers 1 to 10. That isn't what I've been looking for. I'm
looking for an X axe which shows the month which I would like to view.
The Y axe must show the percentage of the suggestions made per
servicegroupe. But everytime I make this chart over and over again,
the same results came to me, and I just don't want this view with only
the numbers.
When I'm making a chart, I'm choosing for: insert --> chart. Am I
doing this right? I think I'm doing it right because the lines in the
chart show me the results which I wanted to be viewed. Only the axes
just doesn't seem to be right. Ok, this is just a cosmetic error, but
my manager doesn't feel it this way.

There is another problem. When I want to show the graph in a report
view/print view, the graph just doesn't show up. I can only see the
name of the graph and the pattern in which the graph must be
displayed. Why can't I view the graph in a print layout. I have
thought about the print area, it all checks ok.

I know the explanation is all fuzzy, but could you please help me?
